Felted Square Bag

This is a pattern I found on Magknits and it is for a bag called Swatch & Block

Cast On
With spare wool, I created a crochet chain and used this for a provisional cast on.

Bottom & Sides
Using circular needles, I knit back and forwards to create a long panel which will become the base and sides.

Knit Front Panel
Having picked up the middle 50 stitches, I knit each row, slipping last stitch onto needle and knitting into one stitch on side piece, pass over the slipped stitch.

Front Panel is Complete
In this picture you can see the front panel (bold stripes) has been knitted until there were no more stitches on the side pieces to pick up.

Begin Back Panel
The back panel is worked in the same way as the front panel. All that will remain when main bag is complete is to knit the strap. Then (fanfare) to felt it!
