Liesel Scarf: Finished

I wanted to share the finished Liesel Scarf with everyone. I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

Next time I will be using different wool as this wool got quite 'hairy' (I'm sure there's a technical term for this) from all the handling.

It took me less than a week to knit this scarf. There were times when I had to rip it back but no more than a row. I tried really hard to keep track of where I was on the pattern.

I would recommend this pattern if you like the look of the scarf. But do knit a swatch before jumping into the scarf so you can get accustomed to the pattern.

I will definitely be making a few more of these in different yarns and colours. They'll come in handy for birthday & Christmas gifts.

Enjoy....Bernie

EDIT - I entered this scarf in the Royal Manx Agricultural Show (August 2006) but I didn't win a prize. I was really disappointed that the judges didn't leave any feedback. And strangely enough, I did win a prize for the lengthways scarf from scraps that I knit up longways and took me about an hour. Go figure!

Saw a comment you left in Knitter's Review and thought I would check out your blog and say hello.

The scarf is beautiful, as is the colour! I think it looks like a pattern that I'd like to try as well. I'll remember to do the swatch first - I hope LOl!

The scarf IS beautiful--and the color really enhances the pattern. I know what you mean by "hairy from handling,"--if you ever find a technical term, let us know.
P.S. Love the unified look of all your blogs, too :)
