Here's an update on my progress with the Liesel Scarf so far, by yummyyarn.
I've knit this swatch in some scrap yarn from my stash. This is a picture of my knitting. Me - knitting a lace pattern. ME???
Concentration is not my strongest point lately when it comes to following a knitting pattern but I'm sooooooooo pleased! This pattern is not that difficult so I would highly recommend it to anyone who is considering it.
Technical stuff: I've done two pattern repeats (10 rows in each) and I'm quite happy with the pattern. I had to frog it back a couple of times when I started and thought I wouldn't make it past the 3rd row of the pattern. But as usual, I got there in the end!
Now to start the real thing. I'm a happy happy HAPPY knitty kitty!

Nice, Bernie! I'm always in awe of people who actually swatch. Glad you found what you were looking for (the blog's looking super, too).
I don't normally swatch but I'm glad I did. I would have been really frustrated if I had just dived in to the scarf without it.
Thanks for compliments on the Blog. I'm actually getting tired of the current look and I have been experimenting on my test blog with colours etc. I'm thinking about giving it another facelift. So watch this space....
I wonder if there's a place where 'used blogs' can be recycled i.e. donated to someone else???? Hmm.
